Be professional
- Read the brief properly and have what the job needs ready, like the right device, software or accounts.
- Communicate clearly and kindly, and keep chat on TaskCoast.
- Deliver work that is your own, in the format and quality you promised, with files named the way the poster asked.
- Only take tasks you have the skills for, and say upfront if you plan to use AI tools.
Tip: a short, specific offer ("I test on an iPhone 15 and a Pixel 8 and send screen recordings with every bug") wins more work than a long generic one.
Be reliable
- Only make offers you can keep. Cancelling after you're assigned lowers your completion rate.
- Meet your deadline and join video calls on time. If you're running late, message before the deadline, not after.
- If plans change, use Reschedule on the task rather than going quiet.
Your completion rate counts the last 20 tasks you were assigned, and only cancellations you were responsible for.
Be responsive
- Reply to questions and messages within a few hours during the day.
- Confirm details before you start: the deadline, the files or access you need, and for calls the time and time zone.
- Mark the task complete when you're done, so the poster can release payment.
Be honest
- Price fairly and stick to the agreed price. If the job turns out bigger, request a price increase on the task and explain why.
- Report problems straight away, including any mistakes, however small, like a wrong file or a missed row.
- For quick tasks, use your own approved account and submit real proof every time.
Building your reputation
- Complete your profile: a clear photo, a friendly bio, your skills, specialities and languages.
- Add examples of past work to your portfolio.
- Verify your ID, and if you tutor under 18s, apply for a Working with children badge.
- Ask happy posters to leave a review. Honest reviews only, never paid ones.
